Airbird & Napolian

Airbird (Joel Ford) and Napolian (Ian Evans) both released single materials on Daniel Lopatin’s Software program label through the early 2010s; Airbird released two 12″s of hazy, neon dance-pop, and Napolian released an EP of fractured, blown-out synth funk. Both artists found very much common surface between their designs, and started collaborating in 2013. The duo’s initial one was “In the Area,” a tranquil, sun-drenched chillwave cut offering Brooklyn-based vocalist Erika Springtime, plus a nostalgic filtered home track known as “Particular.” 2 yrs afterwards, Cascine released the duo’s debut record, Mr. Foolish, filled with both these songs aswell as other propulsive, rough-cut dance monitors.
