Padi

Produced at Airlangga School in Indonesia, Padi (after that referred to as Soda) performed their initial display in 1996. The name transformation occurred a calendar year later — it had been designed to symbolize the band’s humility, as the term means rice, which really is a image of modesty — and by 1999, the music group had a offer and an record in stores. The offer, which was agreed upon after a rep from Sony captured a functionality at a pub, resulted in an effective appearance on the various-artists compilation. The debut, Lain Dunia, was accompanied by Sesuatu Yang Tertunda in 2001. Offering almost 500,000 copies, the music group solidified its position using the mega-hit one “Kasih Tak Sampai.” Their following record, Save My Soul, will be even bigger, striking the half-a-million product sales mark its initial week after discharge. Padi released their 4th, self-titled, record in 2005. There are also a small number of compilation performances for the group, including a 2002 Globe Cup record contribution, “Function of Heaven.”
