Banjo Spiders

In 1996, Eric Barlow (vocals/guitar), Thomas Jean (bass/vocals), and Kevin Hartson (drums) met up to create the Banjo Spiders, influenced by famous brands Pal Holly, the Rolling Rocks, the Beatles, and Elvis Costello. Invading their indigenous Boston using a twist of ’60s garage area rock and roll and power pop, the Banjo Spiders ultimately signed with Rotating Information in 1998 and released the solitary You and My Satisfaction/Arrive and Obtain Me. Following the recruitment of Binky Grain to complete on bass (provided Jean’s newfound part of second guitarist), the Banjo Spiders continuing their romantic relationship with Spinning Information and released their 1st self-titled full-length in 1999.
