Bell Bats

The Bellbats’ make of jangly indie pop owes very much to mid-period Feelies, early Yo La Tengo, and Let’s Dynamic, whose main dude Mitch Easter produced the Raleigh-Durham, NC, trio’s first album. Guitarist Emory Ball, bassist Laura Weislo and drummer Maximum Acker created the Bellbats in 1994 and released a divide one with another regional band, Econoline, the next calendar year. The Easter-produced record Century implemented in 1997, and Acker still left the music group. He was changed by regional scenester Jerry Kee, who acquired created that 1995 one. A self-titled EP, also made by Kee, arrived in 2000.
