Lady Godiva

Lady Godiva certainly are a folk-rock octet from American Germany who focus on Irish-influenced rock and roll. While they execute a few traditional parts the majority of their repertoire includes original compositions established to Pogues-like agreements. In 1996 their initial record Whisky You’re the Devil premiered. It had been an unpolished and low-budget affair which demonstrated guarantee but didn’t quite deliver because of sub par creation and awkward British usage. Thankfully, 1998’s Stories of Kings and Boozers remedied those shortcomings as Female Godiva improved greatly in just about any category including Compact disc images. Their likeness towards the Pogues is obvious on both recordings.
