Louisiana Crimson (given birth to Iverson Minter) was a flamboyant guitarist, harmonica participant, and vocalist. He dropped his parents early in existence through multiple tragedies; his mom passed away of pneumonia weekly after his delivery, and his dad was lynched from the Klu Klux Klan when he was five. Crimson began documenting for Chess in 1949, after that joined the Military. After his release, he used John Lee Hooker in Detroit for nearly 2 yrs in the past due ’50s, and continuing through the ’60s and ’70s with documenting classes for Chess, Checker, Atlas, Glover, Roulette, L&R, and Tomato, amongst others. Louisiana Crimson shifted to Hanover, Germany in 1981, and taken care of a busy documenting and performing plan through the next decades in to the brand-new millennium, his 21st hundred years produces including 2001’s Driftin’ on Earwig, 2002’s A Different Tone of Crimson on Severn, 2004’s Poor Case from the Blues on Mojo Build, 2005’s No Start Crimson on Hightone and Sizzling hot Sauce on Crimson Lightnin’, and 2008’s Back again to the Dark Bayou (documented in Norway with manufacturer/guitarist Small Victor) on Ruf. He passed away in Germany in 2012 when his thyroid imbalance induced a stroke.
