Jimmy Sherman

Jazz pianist Wayne Sherman played in a variety of swing groups from your mid- to past due ’30s, but is most beneficial known for his submit composing the jazz regular “Lover Guy.” Co-written with Jimmy Davis and Roger Ramirez, “Enthusiast Man” was initially documented by Billie Vacation, and it has since been documented by countless jazz vocalists, including Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, Lena Horne, Betty Carter, Shirley Horn, and much more. Furthermore to using Billie Vacation, Sherman also performed piano for additional swing groups documenting during the middle- to past due ’30s, including rings fronted by Stuff Smith, Lil Armstrong, and Mildred Bailey.
