Al Tariq was originally referred to as Kool Ass Style (Style for brief) when he got associated with the renowned Beatnuts staff with Psycho Les and JuJu. He was section of their Intoxicated Demons EP, released in 1993. He made a decision to transformation his name to Al Tariq after changing to Islam, and continued a solo objective. He released his initial solo record, entitled God Cable connections, in 1996, pursuing up with Kool Clean in 1997.
