Sportsman was the nom de plume of Swede Per Magnusson, formerly of Stockholm soul-pop quintet the Sonnets. Following a band’s grueling 2010 globe tour, he made a decision to take the time out for representation and journeyed to East Africa. After going to Tanzania, he finished up on a seaside in Kenya looking over the Indian Sea, where he previously an epiphany: he wished to make music that sounded just like the surroundings he was taking a look at. He discovered a pack of smoking cigarettes in the fine sand bearing the brand “Sportsman,” and his single project was created. Upon time for Sweden, he remaining the Sonnets, teamed up with creation duo Montauk (who got remixed the music group), and started to demonstration tracks.
