This Chicago, Illinois, USA-based band (aka S.O.B. Music group) originally comprised Lurrie Bell, Billy Branch, bass participant Freddie Dixon (kid of Willie Dixon), and Garland Whiteside. They garnered worldwide acclaim because of their recordings on Quantity Three from the Alligator Information label’s groundbreaking Living Chicago Blues series. Bell still left in the first 80s therefore Branch assumed command. The music group’s 1983 record for the Crimson Coffee beans label, released beneath the Billy Branch & The Sons Of Blues moniker, included solid Chicago blues plus some modern R&B. The line-up of Branch, guitarist Carlos Johnson, bass participant J.W. Williams and drummer Moses Rutues was augmented by many guests, including Jimmy Walker. In identification of Williams’ very own former music group, the group is currently referred to as the Sons Of Blues/Chi-Town Hustlers, under which name they documented in 1987.
