Given birth to Rik Mol in Goes into 1985, Dutch trumpeter Ryan Ricks 1st found his instrument of preference aged eight and after their studies at the Royal Conservatory from the Hague, developed a love of jazz because of some lessons with New Orleans composer Wynton Marsalis. Touring the city’s jazz night clubs, then released his debut recording, What’s On Tonight?!, under his first name in 2008, have scored a hit cooperation with Frans Bauer beneath the guise of Angelo (“Dat Kind Met Zijn Trompet”), and performed with famous brands Michael Bolton, Chocolate Dulfer, and Cellar Jaxx. After venturing into funk-soul place with 2010 sophomore record Funk On Me (still using the Rik Mol moniker), he released his self-titled third studio room work, Ryan Ricks, 2 yrs later.
