Seeds of Anu

Produced in New Brunswick, NJ, in 2000, Seed products of Anu can be an alternative rap group whose intellectual leanings remind the listener of artists like De La Spirit, A Tribe Known as Search, the Jungle Brothers, and Digable Planets. Both musically and lyrically, Seed products of Anu requires a cerebral strategy. Their melodic monitors tend to be jazz-influenced, and their extremely spiritual lyrics favour what hip-hoppers contact the “positive suggestion” — and therefore the part-male, part-female group provides encouraged things such as self-respect, black satisfaction, and clean living. Seed products of Anu rappers HetHeru (previously D.O.D.) and Heru (previously Guardian Angel) acquired both been associates of varied East Coastline rap groupings when Seed products of Anu was produced in the springtime of 2000. When she passed D.O.D. (which stood for Little girl of the Dirt), HetHeru was an associate of the group Scienz of Lifestyle. Heru, meanwhile, have been with an organization known as Fallen Angels (never to end up being confused using the obscure early-’80s R&B group Fallen Angel). In 2001, Seed products of Anu documented and circulated a self-titled five-song promotional EP; two from the songs over the EP, “Slum Revenue” and “Nature’s Blessing,” had been made by Senj Lucky from the R&B group Shed and Found.
