Ran Tan Band

Among England’s most exciting small folk organizations, the Ran Tan Music group features the active soprano and alto saxophone and recorder participant Fiona Booth (referred to as Fiona Fahlin since her 1994 relationship to Lars Fahlin) and her sibling Simon Booth, who also takes on harmonica and melodeon. Relating to German music publication Folk Michel, the Went Tan Music group performs an “psychological, acoustic, dancefloor music.” Acquiring their name from your Kate Bush tune “Went Tan Waltz,” the Went Tan Band also features melodeon participant Martin Ellison, whose continue includes looks on albums by Eliza Carthy as well as the British Melodeon Players, and hands percussionist Martin Hazell. The group’s bass and mandola participant Peter Reeve passed away in 1995.
