Peter Orth

At age six, Peter Orth was inspired to consider in the piano after viewing Artur Rubinstein in recital. He began monitoring with Benjamin Whitten in Philadelphia, and afterwards examined with Adele Marcus on the Juilliard College. Pursuing graduation, he was asked by Rudolf Serkin to be a part of the Marlboro Event and to go to the Institute for Youthful Performing Music artists in Guilford, Vermont. He required first reward in 1979 in the Naumberg International Piano Competition, which resulted in his debut recital at Alice Tully Hall. He was coached for quite some time by Paul Doguereau in Boston. Among the orchestras Orth offers performed with had been the Philadelphia Orchestra, the brand new York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest den Haag, the Orchestre Country wide de Lyon, as well as the Norddeutsche Philharmonie. Orth relocated to Cologne in 1992, where he started his European profession, providing recitals and carrying out at celebrations. He acts as teacher of piano and chamber music in the Hochschule for Music in Detmold, Germany, and he offers documented for CPO, Tacet, and Problem Classics.
