Living Daylights

Fusing jazz with funk and rock and roll, Living Daylights can be an adventurous avant-garde trio that arrived of Seattle within the 1990s. The group provides preferred an inside/outside approach–as left-of-center as Daylights could be, its recordings have already been quite musical and emphasized recognizable melodies and designs. Daylights includes saxophonist Jessica Lurie, electrical bassist Arne Livingston and drummer Dale Fanning, most of whom have been surviving in Seattle if they fulfilled but also have worked in various other cities. Lurie provides played and documented using the Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet, while Fanning provides played with Tag Whitfield and Livingston provides freelanced for such Youthful Lions as Roy Hargrove, Joshua Redman and Antonio Hart. Daylights’ debut record, Falling Down Laughing, arrived in 1995 and was accompanied by its 1997-8 documenting 500 Pound Kitty. Electric powered Rosary was released in fall 2000.
