No regards to Kansas Town pianist-bandleader Bennie Moten, Benny Moten was a good and supportive bassist for many years. He began significantly playing appropriately in 1941 and Moten’s many musical organizations included Hot Lip area Web page, Jerry Jerome, Henry “Crimson” Allen (1942-49 and on / off during 1955-65), Eddie South, Stuff Smith, Arnett Cobb, Ella Fitzgerald, Wilbur DeParis’ New New Orleans Music group (1956-57 including a tour of Africa), Buster Bailey, Roy Eldridge and Dakota Staton (1961-63), among numerous others. Moten documented with a lot of the above players (although not as a head) and was energetic musically until practically the finish of his lifestyle.
