A master from the rebab (spiked fiddle), Abdelkrim Rais had a significant influence for the evolution of modern Moroccan Andalusian music. His magazines, including Collige I Al-Haik Poems in 1982, give a rich way to obtain material that is still performed. The movie director from the Academy of Music within the imperial town of Fez, Rais led the city’s Orchestra of Andalusian Music until his loss of life at age 84. The orchestra offers continued beneath the path of Mohamed Briouel.
