West Jesmond Rhythm Kings

Although it takes on music in the design of 1920’s Chicago and comes with an unique name, the West Jemond Rhythm Kings are actually from the uk. Its creator trumpeter Mike Durham includes a day time job selling cleaning soap for Proctor & Gamble! Although he didn’t play very much music during 1964-79, in 1980 Durham came back to carrying out trad jazz and he offers continued developing since that time. Durham shaped the Kobe Stompers while in Japan (1980-82) and, when he came back to Britain in 1983, he founded the Western Jemond Tempo Kings. By 1985 the music group got solidified its employees and they possess long been a favorite appeal at traditional jazz celebrations across the U.K. Durham was influenced from the 1950’s music of Mike Daniel’s Delta Jazzmen which performed obscure music through the 1920’s. That inclination made the Western Jemond Tempo Kings an all natural to be recorded from the Stomp Off label, leading to HAVE A LOOK AT Mine in 1992. The music group is definitely made up of Durham (who also requires periodic vocals), Derek Fleck on reeds (clarinet, soprano, alto and tenor), the tailgate trombonist Bob Ruler, pianist Brian Chester, Fergus Wish on banjo and acoustic guitar, Phil Rutherford on tuba and drummer Jimmy Stewart.
