The Sessions Band

Produced in 1997 following a celebration at Bruce Springsteen’s NJ farm, the Sessions group is normally a loosely knit collective of area musicians which includes members from the Gotham Playboys. The group initial made an appearance as the support music group on Springsteen’s cover of Pete Seeger’s “WE WILL Overcome” for the 1998 tribute record Where Have All of the Blooms Eliminated: The Music of Pete Seeger. In 2006, Springsteen released a whole assortment of Seeger addresses called WE WILL Overcome: The Seeger Periods using the group.
