Tommaso Traetta

This Italian composer wrote approximately forty operas in the serious and comic veins though his adaptations from the lyric tragedies were most crucial. Traetta was affected by Rameau, Rousseau, Metastasio, Jommelli and Gluck aswell as many librettists concurrent at that time. He offered as the movie director from the Ospedaletto in Venice and later on became the grasp of music in the Russian courtroom in St. Petersburg.
