The Mooche

Obscure United kingdom group the Mooche issued only one, “Scorching Smoke and Sasafrass”/”Seen Through a Light,” in-may 1969. The A-side was a reasonably faithful cover from the Bubble Puppy’s “Scorching Smoke cigarettes and Sasafrass,” which have been an American strike earlier in the entire year; the B-side, “Seen Through a Light,” was similar to the organ-driven jazzy psychedelic audio of Visitors. The Mooche’s Dave Winthrop later on went on to try out with Supertramp and Key Affair. Both “Sizzling Smoke cigarettes and Sasafrass” and “Seen Through a Light” had been reissued within the 2007 Compact disc compilation A Cup Menagerie: Pop, Psyche, Pye Collectables 1967-1969.
