Princeton

Princeton formed in 2005 when twin brothers Jesse and Matt Kivel and their years as a child friend Ben Usen teamed up while most three were learning overseas in London. Considering that they’d still left the majority of their musical instruments back in California, they just had usage of the fundamentals: an classical guitar, a key pad, a tambourine, and an egg shaker. Regardless of these trim circumstances, the trio were able to record more than enough material for the mini-album, AN INSTANCE from the Emperor’s Clothing, that they self-released the next year. Usen as well as the Kivel brothers graduated from university in 2007 and came back to the LA region, where they composed and documented the breezy, well-read indie pop music that could become their second discharge, Bloomsbury. Motivated by the many associates of London’s Bloomsbury Group, the EP premiered in the band’s own Dazzling Peasant information in 2008.
