The improvisational space music trio Spacecraft formed in 1996, when keyboardist/guitarist/artist Tony Gerber and keyboardist/composer John Rose became inspired by image and sound mappings from the area shuttle Voyager. The duo utilized the info to program brand-new sounds because of their synthesizers, and added vocalist/keyboardist Diane Timmons to greatly help complete the task. The group released their self-title debut in 1997, that was released over the Nashville, TN-based Lektronic Soundscapes label.
