Silent Planet

Silent Planet certainly are a Los Angeles-based metalcore music group whose music embraces dynamics swinging from calm, atmospheric contemplation to a full-on sonic assault, and whose lyrics provide a thoughtful view from the challenges of life within a damaging, chaotic world. Acquiring their name from a book by C.S. Lewis, Silent Globe was formed in ’09 2009 by Garrett Russell, who says he was motivated to make use of music expressing his religious ideals while volunteering at a Haitian orphanage within a Christian youngsters mission. Business lead vocalist Russell teamed up with Thomas Freckleton on acoustic guitar, keyboards, and vocals, guitarist Spencer Keene, bassist Igor Efimov, and drummer Alex Camarena, and Silent World began playing Western Coast locations. (Keene will not usually tour using the group; guitarist Mitchell Stark requires his put on the street.) In 2012, Silent World released their debut EP, Arrive Wind, Come Climate, which was made by Matt Goldman. In 2014, the music group released another EP, Lastsleep (1944-1946), which gained rave evaluations and attracted the interest of respected metallic/punk label Solid Condition Records; they quickly signed the music group, and Silent Planet’s first full-length recording, THE NIGHT TIME God Slept, premiered in November 2014. 2 yrs and many shows later, the music group issued their very much anticipated sophomore studio room long-player Everything Was Sound.
