Buke and Gase

Buke and Gase (originally Buke and Gass) are an experimental indie rock and roll duo from Brooklyn, NY, who all made their saving debut in ’09 2009. Founded in 2008, the music group is made up of multi-instrumentalists Aron Sanchez and Arone Dyer, the last mentioned formerly an associate of the music group Proton Proton. The band’s name comes from two experimental musical instruments created with the bandmembers: the buke, performed by Dyer, is certainly something of the electrified six-string ukulele as the gass, performed by Sanchez, is certainly something of the combination between a electric guitar and bass (guitar-bass, g-ass, gass — obtain it?). Buke and Gass produced their documenting debut in ’09 2009 with +/-, a self-released seven-track mini-album, accompanied by their initial full-length work, Riposte, this year 2010. The duo also performed occasional displays locally in Brooklyn. The duo ultimately tweaked their name, changing the spelling to Buke and Gase in order to avoid any dilemma about the pronunciation of their brand instrumentation. The duo released their initial album beneath the newly enhanced moniker, General Dome, in 2013.
