Seamus Ennis

With an encyclopedic understanding of traditional Irish music and virtuosic instrumental skill, Seamus Ennis (1919-1982) helped to keep the ancient folk songs and airs from the Emerald Isle. The sponsor of radio displays for Radio Eireann as well as the BBC,Ennis spent a lot of time within the rural countryside of Ireland collecting a huge selection of songs to try out on his displays.
