Called in tribute to both singer/bassist Kevin Ridel and the institution featured within the classic musical Grease, the Los Angeles-based alternative pop trio Ridel Large also presented guitarist Steve Leroy and drummer Steve Coulter. The group debuted in 1997 using the indie label launch Hi Ratings; upon putting your signature on to A&M in 1998, Ridel High retooled a small number of the album paths for re-release beneath the name Emotional Rollercoaster.
