Divinity of Pure Sound

Denver psychedelic music group, the Divinity of Pure Audio, was formed in 1967 beneath the name Friar Body fat and Close friends — based on the Colorado Music Web page in www.mountainmusic.net, singer/bassist George Gardine weighed just as much as 300 pounds — therefore the group’s early moniker. Guitarists Nathan Werner and John Quincy Adams III, and drummer Tim McMillian comprised the rest from the lineup, and in 1968 documented their lone, formal single “At night”/”IBM Blues” for the All-American label. Later on that yr, McMillian remaining the Divinity of Pure Sound and was changed by former ” NEW WORLD ” Blues Dictionary drummer Denny Townsend; the modified lineup documented a small number of demonstration paths, including a 13-minute rendition from the folk chestnut “Bamboo,” before dissolving in early 1970.
