Number One Lover was an Appleton, Wisconsin-based emo music group featuring Nicholas Ziemann (vocals, acoustic guitar), Michael Ziemann (bass), guitarist Matthew Reetz, and drummer Jonathan Fries. The music group began around 2001, when its principals had been still high-schoolers. They got the term out like any youthful music group in the 21st hundred years, gigging constantly and utilising the web and MP3s to pass on the term. After self-releasing their debut and garnering hype for his or her pop melodies and rousing lyrics, NUMBER 1 Lover was tapped by market veteran Pat Magnarella to be the original signees to his Universal-distributed Pat’s Music label.
