JMI

JMI (Jah Music International) was shaped in 1984 by Beswick Give (business lead vocals/bass acoustic guitar), Lee Usher (drums/support vocals) and Steven Wright (business lead/rhythm acoustic guitar). Wright have been mixed up in reggae market having concurrently created his personal Rite Vibe group while he continuing to aid JMI who offered the musical accompaniment for several best Jamaican performers. He was a presented performer on albums from Ijahman Levi (Africa and Lily Of My Valley), Tradition (Tradition In Tradition) and Tommy McCook. In 1984, the JMI music group released their debut ‘Golan’, that also presented the sublime ‘Choose Yourself Up’ around the b-side. The group toured the Western continent and in 1987 released ‘Sunny Times’, that resulted in an additional sabbatical. While small was noticed from the group, Wright released, ‘International Switch’ (1990), ‘Eyesight Of Jah’ (1993) as well as the five-track Eyesight in 1994. JMI resurfaced in 1996 if they documented and released ‘Tek It THE METHOD THAT YOU Obtain It’, which led to further releases like the Western strike ‘We Are One’ which was effectively remixed in 1997. The remix was entitled ‘We A One’ and in addition featured a visitor appearance from Studio room One experienced Larry Marshall who became a member of the group around the favoured, ‘Baderation’. The track led to the discharge from the vinyl-only dub launch and a 12 months later on lent its name towards the group’s Compact disc debut. In 1999, JMI released another album and raised four tracks from this that featured around the Support Zion EP.
