Jason Luckett

Given birth to in Hawaii but raised in LA, vocalist/songwriter Jason Luckett utilized his bizarre encounters in the region (and unstable family members existence) to art a profession based around an idea he phone calls Groovy Acoustic Spirit. A separate, soulful slab of folk rock and roll, this musical cross began creating a hype in the region when Luckett released his debut record, J Masala Griot, in 1993. A little-heard launch, its small distribution did small to deter him from carrying on and 1996’s Suicide, or Special event? became the first significant impartial recording from Luckett. He documented Distil the next year but got the next couple of years to further create his existence in small locations and coffee homes across the Pacific. Time for the studio room in 2000, Living Area became his following record, and it began digging additional into his personal ideals and circumstances as he sophisticated his songwriting abilities. In 2002, the somewhat politics Arrogance Procrastination Dread Humility followed.
