Home Grown

Pop-punkers House Grown formed in 1993 in Orange State, CA. Comprising vocalist/bassist Adam Lohrbach, vocalist/guitarist John “John E. Garbage” Tran, guitarist Ian Cone, and drummer Bob Herco, the group debuted in 1995 with “Mean Road,” a monitor in the Liberation Information compilation Punk Sucks; the label after that issued House Grown’s full-length debut, That’s Business, afterwards that same season. The EP Wusappaning?! implemented in 1996, and the group agreed upon to the main label Outpost release a 1998’s Act YOUR ACTUAL AGE. Connection, a divide EP with Limbeck, implemented two years afterwards, as do EP Phone House, the last mentioned EP released through Fueled by Ramen. By that time, Home Grown have been reduced to some trio composed of Lohrbach, Tran, and drummer Darren Reynolds (ex-Longfellow). The people inked a cope with indie pop-punk powerhouse Drive-Thru Information in June 2001, and tour schedules with Millencolin led up with their label debut the next season via the infectiously sarcastic Kings of Pop. Second guitarist Dan Hammond was added immediately after, and the music group toured extensively to get the record, including dates in the summer’s Warped Tour. A far more matured EP that discontinued a lot of their past laughter appeared following in Oct 2004 entitled When EVERYTHING BOILS DOWN. Lohrbach exited House Grown in early 2005 — heading on to type New Years Day time — and even though the remaining men continuing on for a little bit with a fresh bassist, by 2006 the music group had opted on hiatus as users pursued other tasks.
