Though Female of the Globe hailed from Australia, their sound in shape neatly in to the twee side from the Uk pop underground. Tim, Bart, and Cameron (like all great twee-poppers, they just use their initial names) first met up in Melbourne in past due 1990. Their initial discharge was the 1992 7″ EP Travel on Parasol Information. This is quickly accompanied by the “Le Cirque” one and a monitor, “Tinsel Browse Darlings,” on the Parasol Xmas EP. 1993 brought the “Five YRS . OLD” one on Heaven Information, however the group divide by the end of that season. Bart and Cameron continued to create the Cat’s Miaow! in 1994. In 1995, Parasol released Question, an imperfect but fulfilling eight-track compilation blending songs in the singles with previously unreleased monitors.
