Colombian accordionist Fredy Sierra started performing at age 15. He produced his worldwide debut in 1994 using the launch of Vallenato, documented alongside Eligio Vega. For the recording, he performs the essential rhythms of paseo, boy, puya, and merengue from the vallenato design. In 1995, Fredy Sierra was crowned as Ruler of La Leyenda Vallenata, typically the most popular folk event in Colombia.
