Citizen Zero

A thoughtful and hard-hitting contemporary rock and roll quartet based out of Detroit, Michigan, Resident Zero make use of an engaging mixture of honest, homespun rock and roll & move and arena-ready alternative rock and roll/post-grunge that’s drawn evaluations to Rock Temple Pilots, Theory of the Deadman, and Kings of Leon. Founded in Rochester Hillsides this year 2010 by siblings Greg (bass), John (drums), and Matt Dudley (electric guitar) and vocalist Josh Mayle, the music group quickly captured the hearing of Child Rock’s documenting engineer Al Sutton, who whisked them into his well-regarded Rustbelt Studios and documented their eponymous 2011 debut EP. Tragedy struck the next year using the loss of life of eldest sibling Matt Dudley, setting the group at a pivotal crossroads. Choosing to forge on, the music group brought virtuosic guitarist Sammy Boller in to the flip and headed back again to the studio room to complete up their sophomore EP, 2012’s Lifestyle Explodes. High-profile gigs alongside Child Rock, ZZ Best, Halestorm, Royal Bloodstream, and Highly Think implemented, and in 2013 Resident No nabbed a Detroit Music Award for Excellent Rock/Pop Documenting. In 2016 Resident No inked a cope with Wind-Up Information and released their much-anticipated debut studio room long-player, Mind-set.
