Charles Hayward

The leader from the pioneering experimentalist group This Warmth, Charles Hayward began playing the drums at age 11. He later on started messing around with home-taping, and became a member of Mal Dean’s Amazing Music group in the first ’70s. After conference guitarist Charles Bullen, both performed in Radar Favourites and Dolphic Reasoning, while Hayward also gigged with Phil Manzanera, showing up with Manzanera’s Calm Sun task and Gong aswell. In 1976, Hayward and Bullen started training with bassist Gareth Williams as This High temperature. Though each within the trio had been superb music artists, they begun to test out tape loops, discovered noises and keyboards on many sessions (documented from 1976 to 1978, however, not released until 1982). Finally, in 1981, This High temperature released their self-titled debut record.
