Bachata Heightz can be an urban-influenced bachata group from NY whose debut one, “Me personally Puedo Matar,” was a big strike for the tropical graphs in ’09 2009. Founded in the Washington Heights community of Manhattan, NY, the group can be made up of Jerry García (aka Jay Heightz; lead vocals), Jeffrey Cruz (aka Jru; chorus vocals), Aneudy Hernandez (aka Chino; chorus vocals), Jonathan García (aka Da Sensation; electric guitar), and Diego Capellán (aka Dee Main; bass), most of whom are of Dominican traditions. Citing influences including hip-hop and R&B aswell as tropical music, Bachata Heightz produced their commercial saving debut in ’09 2009 with “Me Puedo Matar,” a cooperation with Domincan superstar Héctor Acosta. Originally released on Acosta’s record Simplemente… Un Torito (2009), the tune was a big strike on the exotic graphs, reaching the Best Five from the Billboard Latin Tropical Airplay graph. In the wake from the song’s achievement, Bachata Heightz agreed upon a recording agreement with Sony Music and produced their full-length record debut using the First (2009). Made up of material written mainly by García, the record spawned the minimal strike “Te Busco” as the follow-up one to “Me Puedo Matar.”
