Baby Ray & The Ferns

This short-lived unit was the brainchild of Frank Zappa through the period he owned and operated Studio Z in Cucamonga, California, USA. Two Zappa-penned tracks, ‘How’s Your Parrot’ and ‘The Globe’s Greatest Sinner’, had been recorded after that leased to Bob Keene’s Donna label, who released the outcomes as an individual in March 1963. Zappa contributes acoustic guitar on both edges, which also feature potential Moms Of Invention vocalist Ray Collins. Despite its name, the latter will not show up on the soundtrack from the low-budget film from the same name that Zappa obtained at exactly the same time.
