Often in comparison to Genesis and Gentle Giant, the Italian progressive band Acqua Fragile featured lush harmonies just like those of Crosby, Stills & Nash while business lead singer Bernardo Lanzetti was categorised as the Italian Peter Gabriel. Shaped in 1971, Acqua Delicate spent 2 yrs gigging before Italian intensifying giants PFM uncovered them plus they had been signed to an archive contract. Their initial record, the eponymous Acqua Delicate (1973), co-produced by PFM, demonstrated the band’s debts to Trespass-era Genesis and Soft Large with alternately folksy and hard rocking materials. Prominently offering Lanzetti’s piercing vocals, the group’s music concentrated even more on shorter materials than many intensifying artists of that time period. Mass Media Superstars (1974), once more co-produced by PFM, noticed the music group abandoning their folksier components for a far more keyboard-oriented audio. Acqua Delicate disbanded in 1975 and Lanzetti would afterwards join PFM.
