Wooden Birds

Andrew Kenny, the traveling force behind American Analog Place, began focusing on a new aspect task, the Wooden Wild birds, after pulling up stakes and moving back again to his native Tx in 2008. Sounding something similar to a rustic, Neil Young-influenced spin on Kenny’s prior function, the Wooden Wild birds nodded to likeminded serves like Bon Iver and Iron & Wines. The debut work Magnolia, which highlighted performances by Ola Podrida, David Wingo, Leslie Sisson (American Analog Established), and drummer Michael Bell (Lymbyc Systym), found its way to Might 2009 via Barsuk Information. By the discharge from the group’s second recording (Two Matchsticks) in June of 2011, the line-up experienced stablized round the primary of Kenny and Sisson, and fresh members Matt Fish pond and Sean Haskins. Also showing up on the recording was Loss of life Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard.
