Winter

Despite their name, Los Angeles-based quartet Winter perform a make of trippy dream pop which is warm and sunlit instead of cold and bitter. Their tunes typically contain billowing levels of atmospheric guitars and keyboards, delicate production methods, and hazy, multi-layered vocals sung in British and Portuguese. The group were only available in 2012 like a cooperation between vocalist/guitarist Samira Winter season and Nolane Eley of Infinity Woman, both of whom had been surviving in Boston at that time. The two created an EP known as Daydreaming, put together a live lineup, and started gigging round the Boston region. The following yr, Samira relocated to LA and Eley relocated to NY, however the two continuing practically collaborating on songs, and Samira put together a fresh lineup of Winter season that included fellow Boston transplants guitarist Matt Hogan, bassist David Yorr, and drummer Garren Orr. After liberating several singles on-line and playing gigs with famous brands Art Spells, Luna, and Bleached, Winter season self-released their debut full-length, Supreme Blue Desire (documented remotely by Samira and Eley), in March of 2015.
