Vince Mole & His Calcium Orchestra

Another outgrowth from the ever-expanding Elephant 6 recording collective, Fresh Hampshire-based lo-fi popsters Vince Mole and His Calcium Orchestra was led by singer/guitarist Chris Parfitt, a previous person in the Apples in Stereo system. Also composed of bassist/keyboardist Richard Chodes (who 1st teamed with Parfitt within their teenager band Material in Fall months 1984), drummer Kevin Swope and maker/engineer Michael Bart, the group debuted using the cassette Close friends, Psychics, Visionaries…Give Me HAIR, privately released on Elephant 6 in 1994; the EP Spend THE NEAR FUTURE in 1994 adopted four years later on. Parfitt, Chodes and Swope concurrently became a member of forces in Ruler Sauce.
