TypeWriter

TypeWriter are an English-language indie rock-band from Singapore led by vocalist, songwriter, and filmmaker Yee Chang Kang, formerly of the normal People. Pursuing two albums with the normal People, Chang Kang founded TypeWriter in 2000 with Patrick Chng (acoustic guitar, vocals), Farizwan (bass), and Ronny Laily (drums). Desmond Goh (bass, vocals) and William Lim, Jr. (drums) later on joined the music group in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Mainly influenced by vocalist/songwriters, alternative rock and roll, and power pop, the music group matters among its affects the Substitutes, Neil Youthful, Wilco, Weezer, the Pixies, as well as the Velvet Underground.
