NJ based singer/songwriter Rebecca Turner balances wonderful Laurel Canyon folk-rock harmonies with powerful power pop melodies and singalong choruses that hearken back again to vintage AM radio, all sung within a tone of voice that embraces, without contradiction, the special twang of old-fashioned nation as well as the tart attitude of modern Nashville. A youth in ’70s-period Los Angeles made certain contact with the burgeoning country-rock picture, and afterwards to the fantastic West Coast brand-new wave rings of your day, and all of the natural melodicism of both styles.
