Fraff

Using the term “post-punk throwbacks” is quite misguided when discussing Fraff, since a number of the band’s members actually participated in the first scene. Vocalist Tom Fawcett is at the Local Hipsters, the short-lived Tough Trade band in charge of among the finest (albeit extremely bizarre) post-punk singles, “There Runs Concorde Once again.” As well Pure honcho Paul Cox performed electric guitar and harmonica, Karl Hussey (ex-Mint 400) strike the drums, Steve Cox (sibling of Paul) performed keyboards, Ged Murphy performed electric guitar, and Ian (ex-Furline) performed bass. Likened to Captain Beefheart, XTC, Tv, and ’60s garage area rings, Fraff debuted on the split one with Natural cotton Mather. The 1998 EP It’s quite a while to Come Merely to CHANGE and RETURN BACK Once again was their initial main release, followed soon after with There is a Large amount of Friends within this Town, which put together the prior release and several slashes from singles. 2000’s Resist the decision to Rock implemented quickly on its pumps. Every one of the band’s major produces were released by Rainbow Quartz.
