Part clever idea, component exaggerated camp action, the Village Individuals were worldwide feelings during disco’s heyday and hold reviving just like the phoenix. Manufacturer Jacques Morali in 1977 set up a group made to get gay viewers while parodying (some stated exploiting) that same constituency’s stereotypes.
