Unlike his sometime duo partner Mark Small, classical guitarist Robert Torres knew he wished to perform classical music for some of his youth. Although he loved mimicking John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot and Wayne Taylor, he was even more inspired from the traditional Spanish stylings from the Romero Family members. Torres sought and received training early beneath the tutelage of the USC instructor. Following that, he analyzed music at California Condition University, Fullerton as well as the Boston Concervatory of Music, respectively. He gained honours in the American String Teacher’s Association solo competition and your guitar Basis of America duo competition.
