Biography
Produced in 1924, the group comprised Claude Give (b. 17 Apr 1906, d. Oct 1975, Bristol, Tennessee, USA; acoustic guitar, vocals), his sibling Jack port (b. 25 July 1903, d. March 1968, Bristol, Tennessee, USA; mandolin), and Jack port Pierce (b. 1908, Smyth Region, Virginia, USA, d. March 1950; fiddle), however they had been sometimes joined up with by Smokey Davis (a blackface comedian) and on recordings by Claude Slagle (b. 1902, d. March 1950, Bristol, Tennessee, USA; banjo). In 1927, Jimmie Rodgers provided them are his support group. After primarily refusing, they transformed their name towards the Jimmie Rodgers Entertainers and produced some looks with him. These were planned to back again Rodgers on his 1st recordings but before the program, they remaining him and reverted with their older name to pursue a documenting career of their very own. They continued to be active on different r / c until 1954, occasionally being referred to as the Give Brothers. They’re remembered for his or her documenting of ‘The Longest Teach’.
