The Show Ponies

A spirited indie-folk troupe with Olde Tyme Nation tendencies, the Present Ponies were founded in 2011 by Clayton Chaney (vocals, bass) and Andi Carder (vocals, banjo). Citing a different array of affects, like the Stanley Brothers, Queen, Roger Miller, the Weepies, Dawes, Bob Dylan, as well as the Punch Brothers, and hailing in the similarly divergent locales of Arkansas, Tx, and California, the duo ultimately expanded right into a five-piece, adding guitarist Jason Harris, violinist Phil Glenn, and drummer Kevin Dark brown, most of whom had been classically educated. Harris offered as the manufacturer within the group’s 2012 debut recording Right here We Are!, which drew compliment from both folk and nation areas, as did 2013’s We’re Not really Shed. The quintet collaborated with Noam Pikelny (Punch Brothers) on the 2014 EP Operate for YOUR DAILY LIFE, and in 2016 they released components of gospel, rock and roll, and R&B on the much expected third studio room long-player, How EVERYTHING Goes Down, that was made by Andy Freeman (Eisley, Manchester Orchestra) and released via E1 Entertainment.
