Philomena Begley

b. 20 Oct 1945, Pomeroy, Region Tyrone, North Ireland. Begley may be the 4th child in a family group of eight. Her dad performed accordion and her mom sang and, like many Irish performers, Philomena was raised with a like of nation music. She worked well in a head wear factory and started singing part-time using the Aged Cross Ceili Music group, which, due to the past due 60s country growth in Ireland, became Nation Flavour. In 1971, Philomena Begley and Nation Flavour produced the Irish Top 10 with ‘Right here Today, Eliminated Tomorrow’, to become accompanied by ‘By no means Again’. The next year she created her own music group, the Ramblin’ Males and experienced an Irish strike with ‘Ramblin’ Man’. Her following Irish graph successes consist of ‘Wait JUST A LITTLE Longer Make sure you, Jesus’, ‘Blanket WITHIN THE Floor’ (#5 5, while Billie Jo Spears reached quantity 11) and duets with Ray Lynam, ‘You’re THE MAIN ONE I Can’t Live Without’ and ‘My Elusive Dreams’.
